Who We Are - Our Values
AUTHENTIC
[] God works in naturally supernatural ways. No need for hype or pretense.
[] True spiritual growth takes place in relationships--especially difficult ones!
RELEVANT
[] Everyone gets to play in the Vineyard--not just the "professionals." We are all ministers! (Eph 4
)
[] We are called to do "the stuff:" befriend those who are distant from God, care for the wounded and hurting, and help them find a connection with Jesus. Heal the sick, engage in social justice, love the addict and homeless.
CASUAL
[] We don't need to pray super loud or in flowery words.
[] We perform for an audience of One.
THE PRESENCE OF GOD
[] God is here now. We acknowledge Your presence Holy Spirit. Come in power and healing.
[] We seek an encounter with God through worship that so satisfies our soul that we lose our taste for sin (self-destructive habits that break God's heart.)
OTHER SAYINGS HEARD AROUND THE VINEYARD:
We are wounded warriors & wounded healers.
We engage in deliberate acts of "carism" in our community.
The meat is in the street!
Giving God the steering wheel of our lives keeps us out of the ditch.
Come as you are and be loved. God loves you just the way you are, right now.
Come Holy Spirit. We depend on You. Come in power and healing.
